As Executive Director and Founding member, Marie Perrotta guided the growth of Pegasus from 1993 to 2016. She safeguarded its vision and philosophy even as the organization grew and met increasingly complex demands.

As Pegasus grew, a team of staff and volunteers brought expertise to the organization in many areas. Together they ensured high quality support, accountability, and sustainability at all levels. In 2016 Pegasus was well poised to meet the future.

Pegasus is simply more than a thrift store crammed with everything from vintage clothes to hand made card notes. This social enterprise couldn't be built alone and its success came from the help of hundreds of people. Starting as an annual yard sale with donations from friends and neighbors was the beginning to generate significant funds for this not for profit organization. What started as a garage sale soon morphed into the store you see today. Despite being a major fundraising tool the store became more,  a place to provide practical work experiences for program participants sticking to our philosophy to the core.

Pegasus provides adults with developmental disabilities meaningful activities and community engagement to facilitate growth, dignity, and choice.
